Welcome to the first in our monthly webinar series #Photonpreneurs focusing on investment readiness in the world of photonics. The series will encourage entrepreneurs to present their entrepreneurial experience and funding journey, including how the project came together and different types of funding raised (such as grant, debt, or equity) in a “how we did it” webinar.
For this first webinar, we invited Johan Feenstra, CEO of SMART Photonics, to discuss his background and entrepreneurial journey to date and to share some of the wisdom he has gathered along the way on how to raise capital and run a deeptech company. Learn about the arduous path from research to entrepreneurship, the ups and downs of launching a business, the journey from launching a venture up to acquisition, and how to scale a business as CEO.
During the first 45 minutes of the webinar, Johan will be interviewed by none other than PhotonDelta who participated in SMART Photonics’ previous funding round. This live discussion format is doubly guaranteed to provide attendees with a wealth of personal insights and personal tips, as well as answer some fundamental questions entrepreneurs have in their quest for growth:
