Laser-based manufacturing, coating and surface treatment, and PIC wafer technologies: Fraunhofer’s photonic technologies in PhotonHub

What to expect

This online course will cover Fraunhofer’s technology portfolio offered in PhotonHub. This training will be structured in three parts. Firstly, photonic solutions for laser-based-manufacturing will be presented. Following, Fraunhofer’s techniques for vacuum coating and treatment of services for flexible products and precision coatings is presented. Finally different wafer technologies for PICs covering applications such as telecom/datacom, sensing and quantum technologies.

• An introduction to optical coating technologies, Fraunhofer solutions and some application examples
